Washington Kashmir Conference on November 11th, 2021 in Washington DC, USA.

The Washington Kashmir Conference is a one-day event organized by the Kashmir Global Council (KGC) with media support by Voice of Kashmir (VOK TV )USA.

The people of Kashmir have been forcibly separated for over seven decades along Line of Control (LOC), a line demarcated by India and Pakistan, while as India and China have demarcated the territory through Line of Actual Control (LAC). These are territories controlled by sheer military force without any universally accepted sovereignty claims. In the new and emerging geopolitical and geoeconomic setting of the region, Kashmiris who wish to restore their sovereignty over these territories, find themselves caught between a resurgent China, a volatile Afghanistan, and ideologically hostile India and Pakistan.

Kashmir Global Council, a US & Canada based political advocacy group, intends to organise this conference to brainstorm how world powers, especially the United States, can help the people of Kashmir in establishing them as the primary party in the resolution of this issue in order to demilitarize the region, re-unite the divided lands, and restore the sovereignty of the people of Kashmir over their territory so that they can play a contributing role as a nation along side other nations in world of peaceful coexistence.
